ALLERGY TO STINGS OF WASPS AND BEES

  Having suffered a sting by wasp or bee , including flying insects in the family hymenopteran, appear some painful rashes ranging disappearing day to day. If the bite by these insects has been done in a soft area of the skin, such as the hands, face or neck the swelling will be more striking, but by applying a little cold local, ammonia and some antihistamine in cream will have enough, these situations are normal and slightly worrying. But it happens that some people are allergic to the venom of bees or wasps, in these cases, a small amount of venom can create a severe reaction or even fatal in some cases. An incorrect diagnosis or treatment may endanger the lives of people with allergies,  it is important to sensitize these people who have already suffered severe reaction.

The elimination of the wasp's nests is realized in the night to avoid stings.

    These people we will easily differentiate them by so showy reactions that they suffer like:

• Rash on the skin, prevalent throughout the body, sometimes swelling is observed in areas distant from the bite.

• In membranes of the eyes or nose can be seen conjunctivitis and rhinitis.

• In the area of the bowel, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea.

• Sometimes there is intense cough, shortness of breath, whistle in the chest.

• Tachycardia and fall of blood pressure in the circulatory system.

• Or in the brain loss of consciousness, seizures and even comma.

   These reactions can be to stand in solitaire or several simultaneously, but when there are almost all together is called anaphylactic shock, the most serious form of allergy than can get to produce the death.
 

The most important thing before a sting is to reduce the inflammation and to remove the sting.

   The majority of the stings bees or wasp take place in summer, coinciding with the increase of the activities to the free aíre, swimming pools, sport, excursions, etc. And the aggressiveness of these insects that it increases in July, August and September, specially in the wasps. Due to the increase of temperature that provides great activity to these insects, for it control of wasps or the honeycomb near the home is fundamental for the allergic ones.

   The risk of allergy for sting bee increases according to the number of stings, situation that turns the bee-keepers into a group with a high risk. The allergy can appear at any time, but the majority of the bee-keepers present it in the first two years of his activity, being more frequent on having accumulated more than 50 stings.

 

The producers of honey are persons the most propitious to suffer allergies for stings.
