THE INSECTICIDES AND THEIR DAMAGE TO THE HUMAN BEINGS.

    By a toxic substance or poison one can understand any chemical substance that produces harmful effects when penetrating the human organism. The abusive use of chemical insecticides may bring many negative consequences that affect the people. When a person comes into contact with an insecticide, which can occur only once or many times, they say the person is exposed; the effect depends on the exposure time, the harmfulness and the amount of the insecticide and on the way the substance penetrates the organism.

The human body alone cannot eliminate the toxic substances.

   A person can daily use an insecticide for controlling the insects, exposing him/herself every day to small quantities of insecticide, but the amount of pesticide that gets concentrated inside the body increases progressively until it becomes a toxic dose. This is the point when the poisoning is produced.

    The toxic substance penetrates the body following a route of absorption. The amount of toxic substance that gets into the blood can be faster depending on the route by which penetrates. The routes are usually by skin absorption, inhalation or accidental ingestion. Toxic substances as gas, vapor, dust, smoke or tiny drops (or aerosol sprays) can pass to the lungs through the mouth and nose when breathing.

The fumigated insecticide spreads to other zones where it can harm people and other cultivations.

    The organofosforadic insecticides (IOF) are used for their effectiveness and little presence in the atmosphere. They are used widely in the process of fumigation for they are very easy to be located and are very effective. The insecticides like  Clordane, Aldrine and Dieldrin are used for agricultural cultivation like fruit trees, maize and potatoes; the Heptaclore is used for thermites and soil animals. They are chemical substances that contaminate the food, specially the dairy food and the meat. They also contaminate the soil, atmosphere, water, flora and wild fauna.
