HOW TO ELIMINATE COCKROACHES.
To exterminate cockroaches one could
use some methods such as poison, electronic repellents and ultrasonic
systems. There are also plants like rosemary or basil, that if planted at the
entry their smell keep cockroaches away.
The insecticides or poisons should be used by experts,
due to the toxicity and danger of their components. You should always be
very careful when handling them and when reading the instructions on labeling. The most
widely used and effective is a chemical compound called boric acid,
which is toxic but
not repellent, therefore cockroaches come back to the treated areas until they die.
The aerosol and liquid spray of domestic use are often useful when the
population is small, but because it contains insecticide of short
duration, it is often not enough to exterminate a cockroaches plague. It is
important when handling these products to be very careful, covering the
treated surfaces to prevent potential health problems.
Within the insects the cockroaches are those who
have most types or classes.
The insecticide baits contain a poison incorporated into an
attractive piece of
food stored in a container or plastic tray; after eating it they go to
their refuge where they die. Sometimes the cockroaches traps contain
pheromones, which are some chemical substances that generate a different sexual behaviour, altering the normal conditions of the
species.
To control the pest, we can also use sticky traps and
gummed cardboard, to both fight cockroaches and watch and control;
with this method we can observe what species of cockroaches are we
dealing with and how many they are. They are placed in their way, exit
slots, places where are seen
and near water and food sources. Roaches get stuck in the
plastic. The best thing of this product is that it does not use any
toxic product for their manufacture.
With the union of several methods of elimination
we will manage to exterminate the plague of cockroaches.
The ultrasound systems are connected to a network and
they are harmless to
humans and animals, but they do not kill cockroaches, they only make them
disappear. They are not entirely effective because the colony is only
moved to another
place in the house. Sometimes there were found alive cockroaches inside the
device while operating.
