WHEN AND WHY MOSQUITOES
BITE.
Mosquitoes use the dawn and the dusk to stock up with
food; these are the day moments when they feel most comfortable, the sunlight is not as
strong so it is not that hot. The mosquitoes females are the ones who
bite because they need the blood protein in order to produce the eggs so
they have to keep biting for at least one year long. Unlike the
male mosquitoes that only feed on fruit juice, nectar and sap. The larvae
develop in water being fed inside the water, so it is quite common to
find differrent species of mosquitoes in swampy
areas.

The female mosquitoes are those who bite the
humans.
The necessary options for a mosquito to choose its victim depend on several factors,
such as the scent, sweat and skin color,
the carbon dioxide gas that we give off, body heat, health conditions, our age,
and even more important, the humidity of
our body - an endless list of factors that help a mosquito select its
victim. The more factors we present, more chances of being attacked
we've got.

The mosquitoes choose their victim by a few
physical factors.
There are some insects that thouroughly inspect the
area, flying around their preys, examining the area until they detect the ideal
spot for their "bites", which can be anywhere along body. At
the first visual contact with the mosquitoes it is wiser to use any
method that helps them to give up any intention of biting (repellents,
flies and mosquitoes killing padles, ultrasound devices and so on). Although
if we already are their possible prey we will surely fall into their networks
before realizing it and we will think of the mosquitoes the next few days.

The most suitable habitat for mosquitoes is the
water area.
