WHY IS NECESSARY KILLING THE RATS?
They are undesirable partners to man, producing rejection and fear, but in some countries of Asia as India people live peacefully with them. They are ferocious, they bite and transmit a great number of diseases. They move very quickly on the ground and know how to swim and how to climb and they are true acrobats.
Rats are great disease vectors.
They have very strong teeth with which they gnaw the wood, the plastic of the electrical cables and even the cement, in order to get to their food and because they need to wear away their incisors. They build nests in the subsoil or in the drains and they move from there to the food source and then they come back to the nest to feed their babies. But if they find the appropiate conditions they will build their nest inside the buildings made by humans. They live competing daily with the humans for the food, producing great losses. The rats are carrying numerous bacteria that then deposit in the places where they live, using the urine; they also carry a virus which they transmit to people. People get sick but do not show any symptoms. Sometimes the parasites that nest in the rats, like fleas, mites or lice are those that transmit these diseases.
Rats and mice destroy a lot of food.
