ROYAL DECREE  208/2005 ON RECYCLING MANAGENMENT ON ELECTICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

  

INTRODUCTION

 
In 2004 in Spain, 90% of waste from electrical and electronic equipment from private households the are ended up in landfills, trash cans, etc. had been made without any prior decontamination treatment, with the consequent risk to the environment.
With the "Royal Decree 208/2005 of 25 February on electrical and electronic equipment and waste management" responsibility to finance environmentally sound management when they become waste in falls on the producers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment.

ROYAL DECRRE 208/2005

   Royal Decree 208/2005 on electrical and electronic equipment and waste management aims to reduce the amount of WEEE and hazardous nature of its components and the reuse of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) and recycling of waste by improving environmental performance of all those involved in the life cycle of these devices: producers, distributors and retailers, waste managers and users.


WHO ARE THE PRODUCERS OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS?


  Producers are the natural or legal persons that manufacture and sell electrical and electronic equipment under his own brand, put on the market under his own brand equipment produced by other suppliers and import from or export to third countries.
  Producer Obligations are:
          - Supporting recovery and environmentally sound management.
          - Register as a producer of EEE in the region of their headquarters.
          - Enroll in the National Register of Producers of Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
          - Put by electrical and electronic symbol (a wheeled bin with a thick black line at the base of the cube) means that the is the fly-are put on the market after 13/08/2005.
         - Manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment to avoid hazardous substances and facilitate ease of disassembly, repair and recycling.

 

WHO IS DISTRIBUTOR?


  The natural or legal person supplying AEE, on commercial terms to another person or entity who is a user of the product.
Distributor Obligations are:
  Collect electronic devices that give the end user temporarily, free of charge, subject to purchase another exterminator of the same type or of the same functions.

  When ESA is marketed by a producer who is not registered on the National Register of Manufacturers, or with marks of its property shall assume the same obligations as the producer.


USERS


Shall deliver the electrical and electronic equipment flyswatter into disuse in the distributor or dealer whenever you make a purchase of a new device with features similar to the delivery, or can take the points delivery services of their province.
