

The damage is caused by the larvae, attacking the leaves and clusters. The oldest leaves appear gnawed and pierced, the youngest folded and joined by silky threads, which when making more
visible underside gives the vineyards a silvery appearance. Leaf damage can be significant, especially in young ones.
The adult measures 20-25 mm with the wings spread. These are straw colored, with 3 transverse reddish-brown bands.
The female lays eggs in groups that look like drops of wax on the leaves. Freshly laid, the eggs are green, which turns yellow, gray (close to fanning) and white (once fanned).
The larvae are yellowish-green in color, and can reach 3 cm in length. Its head and first segment are shiny black. They are very agile and restless.
The chrysalis. spindle-shaped, 10-18 mm long and brown in color.
