Complete kit trap procerex anti-orugas collar
Trap collar to capture the caterpillars of the pine processionary taking advantage of the natural process of descent through the trunk of the tree.
Period of Use: From December to early May (according to climatic zones).
The Kit consists of:
-1 Polycarbonate deflector plastic of thickness, consistency and finish such that the caterpillars slip when trying to overcome it.
-2 Strips of double-density foam, rigid in the outer part, flexible in the back part in contact with the bark of the trunk.
-1 Closure with tensioning spring in stainless steel.
-1 Strap with safety buckle to support the bajane and the bag collector.
-1 Lowering of thermoset plastic.
-3 Flanges for holding the collecting bag.
-1 Perforated collector bag to drain excess moisture, with stainless steel eyelets to accommodate the flanges.
-The basic kit is designed up to a perimeter of 110cm. There are 2 additional extensions of 60 and 120 cm available to cover larger trees, being able to join as many extensions total or partial as needed. They consist of deflector and corresponding foam, an extra tensioning closure and a strap to fasten the whole assembly together by the outer base, in order to exert uniform of the foam against the trunk throughout its circumference.
For heavily infested pines you can add an additional lowering kit or attach 2 complete kits with 2 collector bags in total.
It is a physical barrier to avoid the contact and damages of the caterpillars (and their stinging hairs) with people and animals. It is not a way in itself
For the control of the processionary pest. The function is to mitigate the sanitary problem of the contact with the caterpillars, to stop the processions
And provide a final barrier if other previous control treatments have not had sufficient effect. The device is placed and subsequently
Removed and stored after the period of use and can be reused for several seasons.
