Capture trap for pine procession mothers
Opaque, resistant and discreet plastic trap with two large entrances without transverse passage. High capture capacity (up to 2000 processionary moths in 2 months). To the trap should be added pheromone attractant (not included).
-Place 6-7 traps per hectare.
-It is suggested to place the traps between mid June to July and recover them in mid and late September or October (depending on climate).
- Hang the trap to a minimum of 2.5m from the ground.
- A pheromone capsule is placed for the attraction of the male moths, the effect of the pheromone is at least 10 weeks, once they are inside they can not leave.
-Preparation of the trap with the pheromone: 1.5L of water + 0.2L of vegetable oil is poured into the bucket, the oil prevents evaporation during the two months of capture, the liquid also serves as a counterweight in case of wind blows.
-The pheromone is placed in the center of the grill and the cover is closed.
-The traps should be installed so that the branches do not restrict the passage of the male moths when entering the trap.
-Only for exterior use.
